Do you have a little girl to dress up? If so I'm totally jealous! I love finding new duds for little man, but let's be honest, there's only so many ways to change up his look. However, as I scour the web for unique finds, I put aside my bias, and keep a look out for oh-so-adorable finds that are must-haves for your little princess as well. While on one of my cute finding missions, I came across a site that made me want to call all of my friends blessed with girls, and demand that they visit it immediately!
The site? Po Po’s Ponchos! As you can guess, they offer the cutest little ponchos I have ever seen! Go. Now. Bask in the adorableness - I still am! These are cute, stylish, comfortable for your little one, and practical as well. Mamas, it doesn't get any better!
Started by Karen Stark, a mompreneur, Po Po’s Ponchos is a Canadian company, with every poncho proudly made in Vancouver, BC. It all started with one adorable poncho for her daughter, and has blossomed into a store offering too-cute designs that will fit your little one up to 6 years of age. Po Po’s Ponchos (Po Po means Grandma in Chinese) are all named after ice cream flavors, and appropriately their aim is to one day have 101 different designs!
As you know, I'm generally not one to sacrifice cute for practical, and with these ponchos you don't have to! Every parent knows how hard it can be to dress a little one in the morning, and forget about the coat! Not to mention how hard little one's jackets can make baby wearing - Po Po’s Ponchos slide easily over their heads and your carrier as well. Did I mention that you don't have to fight to get little flailing arms into sleeves? Yep, just slip it over their heads and you're ready to go!
Little Man was generous enough to allow me to put a poncho on him (we would have outsourced, but our stand-in girl in his size is on vacation with her lucky parents!). As soon as he was about to perform his trademark "no-not-clothing" flail, it was already over his head. He actually gave me his "What? That's it?" look, as I covertly attached the snaps that form the arm folds. Soon he forgot the trauma that he had almost gone through, and was wandering about contentedly. I noticed he enjoyed the feel of the fabric, and was running his hand over the poncho and touching the edges as he moved around. As Po Po’s Ponchos are made from non-pilling high quality micro fleece, sweatshirt fleece and 100% cotton trim, your little one will love the feel as well! Really. The only other time I've seen him do this was at Sears. We were walking through the ladies section and he reached out for a satin pair of underwear and felt it in the same way...with a satisfying "ohhhh, ahhhh," and a dirty look from the sales woman!
The only problem I can think of is deciding which adorable poncho to get first (that, and how to convince my husband we need a little girl so I can dress her in all the adorable clothing I've found). Passing Little Man's "touch test" and earning my thumbs up for practicality, Po Po’s Ponchos are indeed "Little Ranch Hand" approved!
